Eddy has held various roles in leadership, including:
1980 – 2000 President of Sithoc Swimming Association
1983 – 1987 President of the Curaçao Swimming Federation

1987 – 1989 Member of the Board of N.A.O.C.
1989 – 1994 Vice President of CCCAN on behalf of the English Caribbean

Eddy has achieved a lot for the national federation.
In 1981, Sithoc obtained its own statute and a professional trainer.
In 1982, Sithoc had two professional trainers.
In 1984, Curaçao’s national selection achieved its first podium honor during the annual Caribbean Championship of CZB.
In 1985, Sithoc started its own swimming lessons.
In 1986, Curaçao had the honor of organizing the Caribbean Championship.
In 1987, a commission was established for Sithoc to have its own pool.
In 1990, CZB organized for the second time the CISC Championship.
Later, the pool commission for Sithoc was reactivated. A prefab pool was purchased, but after 2 years, construction of the pool itself began. A year later, the Sithoc pool, named Sirena, became operational.
The achievements in swimming at the national level are linked to Eddy’s initiatives at the club level combined with his position as president of the swimming club Sithoc and the Curaçao Swimming Federation.

Eddy heeft veel bereikt voor de zwembond. 1981 Sithoc krijgt een eigen status en wordt een professionele trainer.
1982 tweede professionele trainer voor Sithoc.
1984 Nationaal team van Corsou voor het eerst op het erepodium tijdens het jaarlijkse Caribische kampioenschap van CZB.
1985 begint met zwemlessen van Sithoc zelf.
1986 Corsou krijgt de eer om het Caribische kampioenschap te organiseren.
1987 installeert commissie voor Sithoc om een eigen zwembad te krijgen.
1990 CZB organiseert voor de tweede keer het CISC-kampioenschap.
Vervolgens wordt de zwembadcommissie voor Sithoc gereactiveerd. Er wordt een geprefabriceerd zwembad aangekocht, maar na twee jaar begint de bouw van het zwembad zelf. Een jaar later wordt het Sithocse zwembad, genaamd Sirena, in gebruik genomen.
De behaalde resultaten in het zwemmen op nationaal niveau zijn te danken aan Eddy's initiatieven op clubniveau, gecombineerd met zijn functie als voorzitter van Sithoc en de Curaçaose Zwembond.
